Coming from a humble background, Mr. Kapil Dev joined the bar in 1979. Through sheer grit and determination, he rose in the legal circles of Lucknow to become one of the leading lawyers of Uttar Pradesh. Recognizing his hard work and expertise in the field of law, the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad designated him as Senior Advocate in 2006.
Mr. Kapil Dev has over four decades of experience litigating complex disputes for major clients, including bureaucrats, government authorities, high net individuals, Indian (domestic) corporations, development authorities, political consultations, private individuals and corporate entities.
He has broad practice as a lead counsel before the High Court and the Supreme Court on a range of complex matters, including service matters, commercial and contractual obligations, real estate and tender disputes, and matters involving the review of governmental and administrative actions. He has many reported judgments to his credit.
Mr. Kapil Dev has also advised clients on complex disputes and has been routinely briefed in matters before the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Judicature at Allahabad Lucknow Bench, the Central Administrative Tribunals, State Public Services Tribunals, Armed Forces tribunal and arbitration tribunals.
An ardent voice on the protection of legal rights of All, he firmly believes that quality legal services should be accessible to everyone, irrespective of their financial capacity. He has, since the beginning of his practice in 1979, been handling matters pro bono for the needy sections of society.
He preaches and practices that Law is one of the noblest professions, with integrity and hard work mandatorily being at the core of legal services. He believes that an advocate is a torchbearer of the rights of all, thus, his responsibility towards upholding law and playing a pivotal role in administration of justice in society and protecting the rights of his clients increases manifolds.
